LinkBrainly for Webflow: documentation

How to install, set up and use LinkBrainly on your Webflow site.

1. Install and connect

  1. Install LinkBrainly from the Webflow Marketplace, or open linkbrainly.com/webflow/app and click Connect Webflow.
  2. On Webflow's screen, choose the workspace or sites LinkBrainly may use and click Authorize. Only the sites you tick are visible to LinkBrainly. If you click Cancel, nothing is shared and you return to LinkBrainly.
  3. Sign in to LinkBrainly with your email. We email a 6-digit code; there is no password. If you installed from the Marketplace first, the connection finishes automatically after you sign in (within 30 minutes).
  4. You see "Webflow connected" and your sites in the site list.

2. Choose a site

Pick a site from the Webflow site list. If you added a site in Webflow after connecting, click ↻ to reload the list. If a site is still missing, click Disconnect, connect again and tick that site on Webflow's screen.

Publish your site at least once. Static pages are read from the published site; CMS items are read through Webflow's API.

3. Run the audit

Click Run audit. Small sites take under a minute; you can close the page while it runs. LinkBrainly reads:

  • CMS items from every collection, including the text of Rich Text fields. Draft and archived items are skipped.
  • Static pages that are published (not drafts, templates or utility pages).

The results show your site score, pages audited, orphan pages (pages no other page links to), broken links and link suggestions. Run the audit again after you make changes.

4. Apply link suggestions

Each suggestion shows the page to link from, the page to link to, the sentence where the link fits and a match score.

  1. Choose the anchor text from the list (the words that become the link).
  2. Click Apply. LinkBrainly adds the link to that CMS item's Rich Text field and publishes that one item. You see "Link added and published".
  3. If Webflow doesn't allow the publish, you see "Link added. Publish your site in Webflow to make it live" and the change waits as an unpublished change in Webflow.

Static pages: LinkBrainly can't edit static pages. For those, the suggestion tells you which words to link; add the link yourself in the Designer.

LinkBrainly never adds a link if the page already links to that target, and never changes anything until you click Apply.

5. Undo a fix

Open Applied fixes and click Undo. LinkBrainly puts back the exact text from before the fix and publishes the item again. If someone edited that item in Webflow after the fix, Undo stops and asks you to remove the link in Webflow, so newer edits are never overwritten.

6. Read the issues

The Issues tab groups problems by type, with the pages affected and how to fix them: orphan pages, broken or redirected internal links, missing SEO descriptions, short or long titles, thin content and articles with no links to other pages.

7. Plans and limits

  • Free: audits up to 200 pages and includes 10 link fixes a month. No time limit.
  • Pro and Business: bought per website on linkbrainly.com/pricing. They raise the page limit and allow up to 500 link fixes a month for that website.
  • Agency: one monthly plan for many client brands, with team seats and white-label reports. See the Agency plan.

The plan applies to the website address, so the same plan works in the Webflow app and on linkbrainly.com.

8. Access and data

LinkBrainly asks Webflow for these permissions only:

  • authorized_user:read: shows which Webflow account is connected.
  • sites:read: lists your sites and their addresses.
  • pages:read: lists static pages for the audit.
  • cms:read: reads collections and items for the audit.
  • cms:write: adds the links you approve to one Rich Text field and publishes that item.

It has no access to your design, custom code, forms, ecommerce, users or billing, and it adds no scripts to your site. Your access token is stored encrypted (AES-256). Details: privacy policy.

9. Disconnect or uninstall

  1. In LinkBrainly, click Disconnect. This deletes your Webflow token and audit data from LinkBrainly.
  2. In Webflow, open Workspace settings → Apps & Integrations and remove LinkBrainly to revoke its access there.

Links you already applied stay in your content; they are normal links.

10. Troubleshooting

  • "No Webflow sites yet": create or publish a site, then click Reconnect and tick it on Webflow's screen.
  • 0 CMS items: items may be drafts. Publish them, then run the audit again.
  • No suggestions: your pages may already be well linked, or there are too few related pages yet.
  • "Couldn't find the anchor text": the item's text changed since the audit. Run the audit again.
  • "Webflow access was removed": connect again from the app page.

11. Support
